Set a regular time of day for practice to establish a routine.
Short focused and regular visits too the piano help students retain and understand what they are learning.
Place your piano in an easily accessible location.
Be sure students get out their assignment book to go over what they should be practicing the most.
Encourage your student to start with the hardest things first and then reward themselves with items that are most fun to them.
Remember to let them PLAY on the piano!
